36 : Romantic Proposal
[Aya’s POV]
Punong-puno ng tao ang Araneta Coliseum kung saan gaganapin ang concert ko. Medyo kinakabahan nga ako kasi first time ko magcoconcert dito sa Pilipinas. Ewan ko kung tanggap ako ng mga tao dito.
Sabi ng barkada pupunta daw sila for support eh.
“Aya!!!!” napalingon ako sa tumawag sakin.
Ang mga kaibigan kong sina JM, Madz, Avee, Regine at Queen ang nakita ko.
“Guys, you’re here”
“Yeah…hay naku ayaw pa nga kaming papasukin ng security dito sa dressing room mo eh. Buti nalang at nakita kami ni Gia.”
“Masyadong mahigpit ang security dito”
“Baka daw kasi makidnap si Aya”
“Oo nga. Imported pa naman yan”
Sabay-sabay na nagtawanan ang mga kaibigan ko.
“Thanks Guys for the support”
“It’s GIRLS not GUYS”
“ang arte nitong si Avee pareho din yun”
“Magkaiba yun”

Nakakatuwa naman sina Avee at JM hanggang ngayon ang hilig paring magbangayan.
“Nasaan nga pala yung mga boys?” tanong ko sa kanila
“oo nga. Kanina ko pa sila hindi nakikita eh”
“Baka nambababae”
“Hay naku subukan lang ni Lance mambabae at mata lang niya ang walang latay.” Sabi ni Regine.
“Eto naman masyadong selosa ikakasal ka na nga lang eh nagseselos ka pa” sita ko kay Regine.
Napatingin ang lahat kay Regine.
“Ikakasal ka na?” nanlalaki ang matang tanong ni JM
Tumango naman si Regine.
“Kanino?”
Batok tuloy ang inabot ni JM kay Avee at Madz.
“Malamang kay Lance diba?”
“So talagang may batok pa?”
“Napakaobvious naman kasi nagtatanong ka pa”
“patingin ng ring mo”
Lahat naman kami ay napatingin sa singsing na nasa daliri ni Regine.
“Wow!!! Ang ganda”
“As expected to Lance sosyal ang engagement ring niya”
“Kelan ang kasal?”
“wala pang definite time eh. Nasa planning stage palang kami pero gusto ko kasi maging June Bride eh.”
“eh di may two months preparation ka pa pala. Basta if you need us dito lang kami”

I smiled. I’m happy that two hearts have found each others right place.
Unlike mine.
Hanggang ngayon naliligaw pa rin.
“Hey Aya, kami na mag-aayos sayo malapit na mag-umpisa ang concert”
“naku wag na nakakahiya naman.”
“Wag kang mag-alala hindi ka naman naming papapangitin eh tama ng si Jm lang ang pangit dito” pang-aasar ni Avee.
“Sorry ah!!! Ang ganda mo kasi”
“Talaga!!”
“Oh! Tama na nga yan. Sige nga kayo mag-ayos sakin. Dapat mukha pa rin akong tao ah.” Nakangiting sabi ko sa kanila.
Sinimulan na ng barkada ang pag-aayos sakin. Pati damit na isusuot ko si Queen ang namili. Daig pa ng mga ito ang professionals sa ginagawa nila.
Wala ng nagawa ang mga make-up artist ko dahil inagawan na sila ng trabaho ng mga kaibigan ko.
“Nga pala..nagkausap na ba kayo ni Vince?” tanong ni Madz
“Hindi pa. Pero pinapadalhan niya ako ng flowers lagi”
“Talaga? Naaalala ka na niya?”
“Siguro Oo, siguro hindi..ahh basta hindi ko alam eh”
“let time decide for itself. Darating din iyon”
“what if it’s too late?”
“nakapaghintay ako ng five years…another five years is not bad” nakangiting sabi ko.
“So you mean to say maghihintay ka kay Vince ng another five years?” gulat na tanong nila.
“Yeah.”
“pag-ibig nga naman. Ang swerte naman ni Vince oh”
“if you fall inlove ate Queen malalaman mo din kung ano ang ibig kong sabihin”
“Tama yun. Ako nga din limang taon naghintay kay Lance eh” segunda ni Regine.
“Bakit? Saan ba pumunta si Lance?” biro naman ni JM.

Natigil ang pag-uusap naming ng pumasok si Gia sa dressing room.

“Umpisa na yata. Sige labas na kami Aya. Good luck”

Hinalikan at niyakap muna ako ng mga kaibigan ko bago sila lumabas.

“Are you sure?” tanong sakin ni West.
“Definitely”
“Eh ano pang hinihintay natin? Let’s make this night a memorable one”
“Thanks for the support guys..I owe you one”
“No problem brhaw..we want to make you two happy”
[Aya’s POV]
Palabas na sana
“what’s the meaning of this Guys?” kunot-noong tanong ko sa kanila.
“Just wait and relax” sagot ni West.
“relax? The people out there are waiting for me I’d have to go outside”
“Basta relax ka lang dyan.”
Biglang dumilim ang paligid at nagsimulang tumugtog ang musika.
“Hey, I’m not there yet” sita ko pero pinigilan lang ako nila West.
“Sinabing relax lang eh” may inabot ito saking papel. Isang music lyrics. “pag-aralan mo yan”
“ano ‘toh?”
“basta pag-aralan mo”
Nagsimula ang intro. At lumiwanag ang gitna ng stage.
Tinapatan ng spot light ang isang lalaki.
“Vince…”
Biglang naghiyawan ang mga tao ng magsimulang kumanta ang lalaki.

Naglakad si Vince palapit sakin sa gilid ng stage. Sinusundan naman ito ng spot light.

Walang tigil na ang pagadaloy ng luha sa mga mata ko. Hindi ko ineexpect ang nangyari.
Hawak hawak pa rin ni Vince ang mga kamay ko. Pagtingin ko sa mga mata niya ay mababakas din ang luha. Habang patuloy parin kami sa pagkanta.

Sa kabila ng lahat ng sakit at hirap na dinanas ko. Alam kong darating din ang panahon na muli akong magiging masaya.
I looked at the man beside me as tears continue to fall in my eyes.

Nanahimik bigla ang buong lugar. Pakiramdam ko maririnig ng lahat ang tibok ng puso ko sa sobrang lakas. Hindi agad ako nakapagsalita.
“Kung hindi ka pa ready mag-asawa willing akong maghintay. Kung hindi mo pa kayang igive-up ang showbiz willing akong suportahan ka. Kung nasa Japan

Napuno ng hiyawan ang buong Araneta. Hindi ko mapigilang mapangiti.
This is one hell of a concert!!!!

“Kissssssssssss!!!!!!” sigaw ng mga tao.
Vince and I are willing to oblige.
Vince lowered his face to mine as his lips touch my lips. He kisses me so tenderly as I feel all the emotions overflowing my body.
It seems like we both come to a place where only the two of us exist. No people watching us. A place for our hearts to meet.

When the kiss ended we are both panting.
“Thank you everyone. Now the real concert begins” sigaw ni Vince sa audience.
Naghiyawan din ang buong audience as the music starts playing.
